About Jill

My name is Jill. I was kind of a pro snowboarder but went to college and pursued an ordinary career. At my best, I was a national champ, member of the US Jr. National Team and had my name printed on the inside cover of the 1997 Burton catalog. It was pretty great. I missed school to snowboard and traveled around the world. But it didn’t last long and, ten surgeries later, I got dropped from Burton and was too beat-up to continue racing.
I love the sport too much to quit so I’ve been teaching for the past 5 years. I got some AASI Certification and found a true passion in instructing. My brother and I are working on SnowProfessor.com, which has videos that help teach people how to snowboard. Snowboarding shouldn’t be that difficult or expensive to learn, which is why our videos are free for everyone. We nerded-it-up all summer and have finally built our website, which looks like the sort of website built by two snowboarders who don’t know much about Deamweaver. But we’re getting there.
We’re still editing videos, so email me if you’ve got feedback: info@snowprofessor.com

Hey I work for Target too and was in the same meeting but I aint no corporate turd. Ha ha…my 3rd board was purchased in 1990 – a Craig Kelly Mystery Air. That’s cool you got to meet him. I still own that ugly thing but it was a great board in the day. Its a shame Mr. Kelly is no longer around but at least he went out doing what he loved to do. Its nice to see not everyone at Target is a corporate turd. Have fun blogging. Hopefully we won’t have to work for corporate america for the rest of our lives…
